A Call to Inspire Conversation Series Part 2

Part 2: A conversation about champions for peace and social justice

We hope you can join us on September 21st, the International Day of Peace, for the second part of our conversation series. Be there with us when we discuss contemporary social justice action in the light of Dominican tradition. Listen to our main speaker Dr. Hugo Slim, Senior Research Fellow at the Las Casas Institute for Social Justice at Blackfriars Hall - Oxford, talking about Dominican social justice action with Sr. Rose Mary Kinne, Dominican sister and author from Australia, Sr. Celestina Veloso, former Dominican Sisters International (DSI) Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) International Promoter, Mr. Thierry N’Zeng, lay Dominican and activist for the promotion of human rights and environmental balance from the DRC, and Sr. Marcelline Koch, former two-term Promoter of Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation for North America. We are honored to present you a panel with such distinguished speakers!

The event held on this day is a contribution of the Dominican Order to bring relevance to the justice and peace work as an integral part of Dominican preaching. It underlies the hope that “justice will produce lasting peace” (Isaiah 32:17) and that “there is no peace without justice” (Paul Paul VI).

Join us in the conversation at 15h to 16h30 GMT+2 | 3:00 - 4:30 pm Geneva time (UTC+2) via Zoom. You can register HERE for the conversation. If you have problems registering, please contact communications@un.op.org

The conversation will be in English. Translation will be available in French and Spanish.
