Even in the midst of a global recession, there is a real need of seeking the common good and making real the concept of the family of nations as well as finding innovative ways to implement responsibilities for respecting, protecting and fulfilling human rights worldwide. This is what the concept of International Solidarity is about.
Professor Sergio Pinheiro, President of the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry on Syria delivered an additional "oral update" of his report to the Human Rights Council.
