Dominicans for Justice and Peace welcomes the recent visit to Iraq of the Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues. Her statement of the 8 th of March rightly addresses key challenges that religious minorities are facing everyday.

Le Corps diplomatique près le Saint-Siège invité jeudi à un briefing sur la Syrie

Les Dominicains se joignent à l'appel du Pape à explorer toutes les voies susceptibles d'aboutir à la restauration de la paix dans la région. En vue de la Journée de jeûne et de prière pour la paix en Syrie et de la veillée avec le Pape Place Saint-Pierre, le samedi 7 septembre, la secrétairerie d'Etat a invité les ambassadeurs accrédités près le Saint-Siège à une conférence de presse qui se tiendra jeudi matin pour informer le Corps Diplomatique sur le sens de l'initiative. Une annonce faite par le Père Federico Lombardi qui a précisé que la Secrétairerie d'Etat avait aussi informé les Conférences épiscopales et les instituts religieux.

Egypte : Préparer l'avenir?

Le Directeur de l'IDEO analyse les dernières évolutions de la situation en Egypte. Vivement préoccupés par les violences qui frappent les populations du pays, les Dominicains appellent toutes les parties en présence à retrouver le chemin du dialogue.

Update of Human Rights in Sri Lanka : Follow up of the UPR process

Togather with several other faith based organizations, the Dominican Délégation to the United Nations expresses its views on four key human rights issues in Sri Lanka: 1) Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs); 2) Peace and Reconciliation; 3) the Rights of the child; 4) Persons with disabilities.

Human Rights in Pakistan : Dominicans contributes to the Universal Periodic Report

The Delegation of the Dominican Order submitted a written statement to the 22nd session of the UN Human Rights Council on the Human Rights situation in Pakistan. Children rights, Women's Rights and Education are key issues for the future of the country.

Le "ministre des affaires étrangères" du Saint Siège prend la parole au Conseil des Droits de l'Homme de l'ONU

For the first time, the "Minister of Foreign affairs" of the Holy See speaks at the UN Human RIghts Council recalling the Church's commitment to the implementation of fundamental and universal Human Rights worldwide. In his statement, Mgr. Dominique Mamberti recalled the need for the States and people of good will to contribute to the common good by cooperating to the practical implementation of universal, interdependent and interrelated Human Rights.
