Dominicans for Justice and Peace (Order of Preachers) is a faith-based non-profit and non-governmental organisation representing the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) at the United Nations (UN). The Dominican Order is composed of men and women from more than 120 countries involved in many areas of activity, including education, health, advocacy for victims of human rights violations and support for people in precarious living conditions.

Dominicans for Justice and Peace was created in 1998 by the International Dominican Commission for Justice and Peace and was endorsed by the General Council of the Order of Preachers as a permanent presence of the Order at the United Nations. Dominicans for Justice and Peace is an NGO dedicated to the promotion of justice and peace in the world through the promotion and protection of the integrity of Creation and of human rights for all, as an integral element of the Order’s mission to seek truth and to bring Good News.
