48 organizations from the Dominican Republic, Latin America, Spain, and Geneva, including Dominicans for Justice and Peace, are raising the alarm and denouncing the continued inhumane working conditions at Central Romana Corporation. In a joint statement, they express grave concern over persistent indicators of forced labor in the Dominican sugar industry and call on both the Dominican Republic and the United States to end complicity, ensure transparency, investigate reported abuses, and guarantee the rights and dignity of all workers.
