Mr. President,
Dominicans for Justice and Peace welcomes the recent visit to Iraq of the Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues. Her statement of the 8 th of March rightly addresses key challenges that religious minorities are facing everyday.
Lors de la 20ème session spéciale du Conseil des Droits de l'Homme des Nations Unies, les Dominicains appellent à prendre toutes les mesures nécessaires pour rammener le calme dans le pays et mettre un terme à la grave crise humanitaire qui frappe les populaitons civiles.
Even in the midst of a global recession, there is a real need of seeking the common good and making real the concept of the family of nations as well as finding innovative ways to implement responsibilities for respecting, protecting and fulfilling human rights worldwide. This is what the concept of International Solidarity is about.
